3 Easy Tips To Stay Motivated

#goDo

Let's face it. Staying motivated is not something you are born with, but rather a mindset that even the best #godoers need to activate on a regular basis. I'm often asked, "how do you stay so motivated?" The truth is that I am not always motivated, but I always have some go-to tools in my toolbox to use when my energy, drive and motivation are close to "empty". Below are the top three tips I use to #goDo:

1. Get Out And Exercise

Make physical activity a part of your daily routine. One of the best tools you can activate to ignite your motivation is exercise. Moving the body or pushing your physical limits does more for you than just condition your body, you also condition and strengthen your mind. There's plenty of research that supports how the brain chemicals released through exercise positively impact your motivation, outlook and overall mindset. And as most of you know, winning the game is all about mastering the mindset.

I notice that my creativity is sparked following each workout, and most times even before the workout is complete. Exercise is the best catalyst for motivation, as it brings with it a healthy mind, body and spirit.

2. Write Down Your Goals

If you're looking for additional motivation, take some time to write down the things that excite you or inspire your future vision for success and fulfillment. Goal setting is a fail-proof strategy to give you the push you're looking for to get attached to what's truly possible. When I'm feeling drained and lacking energy, I grab my trusted journal and start writing down my dreams, visions and goals for success. I make this a fun activity, and avoid anything that turns this more into a daunting task than an exciting exercise.

It really is that easy.

3. Surround Yourself With The Right People

I attended a seminar once where the speaker suggested that you look for "new voices" when looking for new results and solutions in life. New voices can be found anywhere. Consider attending a free workshop or a paid seminar to both acquire new information and connect to a new network. Both can lead to the new voices you need for motivation.

New voices can also be heard listening to a new podcast or audiobook. And when all else fails, grab your laptop, visit youtube and search for motivational or inspiring videos. There are so many inspiring speakers and thought leaders to choose from, but some of my favorites are Tony Robbins, Brene Brown and Brendon Buchard, to name a few.

Losing your motivation somewhere along the way is inevitable. And make sure you do not compare yourself to others, or convince yourself that you are the only one who has trouble finding the motivation you need to keep going. In a world where commitments and responsibilities endlessly stack one on top of another, be prepared to boost your motivation on-demand with these three, fail-proof tips. I promise they'll give you the exact kick-start you need.

Now, #goDo your most successful Quarter Two!
